Well, I have been noticing a lot of moustache action lately. Have you?

So I suggested to Liz that for her next drawing of me, she add one to my face. It’s just like a different version of my whiskers, in a way.

This is Claude, isn’t he adorable? His mom, Alicia, created this series of photos in honor of Bastille Day.

Liz says it is pure genius. Alicia made his outfit and everything!

I am not so sure about the clothing…you know how I feel about dressing up. I hope Liz is not getting any ideas!

The other week, I was invited to attend an exclusive soiree. This was to celebrate Parker’s first birthday. Of course I accepted!

There isn’t much that I love more than a good party.

I got to meet and play with some new friends, too. Here is Sprout:

This little lady received a lot of attention from us boys:

She was the only female there!

Buster went, too, but as I may have mentioned before, he is somewhat anti-social to other dogs. Here he is telling Parker to get lost:

We got to eat cupcakes. I was very excited about that, of course!

So was Parker.

After that we opened presents. Parker got more presents than his humans got on their birthdays!

James fed us all waaay too many treats. Delicious!

Well, apologies again for the long delay in writing. There has been even more going on than I can even tell you about just yet! It has been crazy.

For one thing, that house I showed you last time, is not going to be my new house after all. It fell out of escrow in this crazy real estate market because it did not appraise.

But not to worry! Liz & Jon had a new offer accepted, and this house (it’s a condo actually) is 2 blocks from this beach!

I love the beach. I haven’t seen this house, but when I do, I will show it to you. I think I will wait to make sure it is going through this time though. Don’t want to disappoint you again!

Anyway, to clear my mind during this tumultuous time, I have been taking long walks in the park near my house. It is my favorite place to go whenever I get to go out.

I always meet loads of people and there are always friends to play with. This last time, I met a new one:

He was super nice. He was rescued by our neighbors from a man who wasn’t taking care of him. Now his life is fun and he gets to go to the park every day.

Of course I also made friends with his human family!

Nothing like a bit of relaxation to take your mind off things!

Hello everyone; sorry it’s been a while but there has been a lot going on around here!

The other day I went to see my new house.

Liz & Jon have been many times but this was the first time I got to see it. I was so ready to explore!

It has a nice yard. There were lots of interesting smells.

I could tell there had been some dogs there before me! So of course I had to leave them a little message.

Once that was taken care of, I was ready to go inside. It was totally open so I got to run around everywhere. Well almost everywhere. Liz told me to get out of the fireplace.

And then she made me pose of course. I know I’m cute but I just wanted to get on with it!

Liz’s friend came over with her new baby. He is 3 weeks old. I had never seen a baby that small before. I was like, “What the heck is that thing?”

He did not hold my interest for long and soon after that he left.

I have given the new house my stamp of approval, though!

We will probably move in there in August sometime. Liz said there is a lot of work that needs to be done first!

I am so happy to be able to tell everyone that my surgery went well and I am feeling great! They were able to remove the tumor with clean margins and I should do very well going forward.  Dr. Judy does not expect it to come back.  I do have a scar but it is healing little by little and I will get my stitches out next week.

Ouch!  It actually looks even better than this now; this picture is from Sunday.  I have been very brave and not seemed to be in pain at all.  I was a little wobbly as we left the vet (I couldn’t wait to get out of there!) and when I got home I rested for a while. Then I pretended that I wanted to go on a walk (because Buster was going). But I was faking, after 1 block I sat down and then ran back home and went straight onto my bed! But by that evening I was playing with my toys.

As a bonus, I had my teeth cleaned while I was under anasthesia and now my breath smells super fresh!

I was all ready to attend a family picnic by the bay on Sunday.

Buster got to go too!

We had a good time.  Jon took me on a walk by the water:

Hello everyone. Well today I am going to the vet for some surgery to have a mast cell tumor removed. We found out last week that’s what the funny little bump on my tummy was.

I want you to see it so that if you ever get anything like that, you can get it taken care of right away, since that’s important for a good outcome:

The only reason it’s red is because the vet stuck a needle in it to test it. Otherwise it was the same piglety pink color as my skin.

Here it is as it appears now, even smaller! When Liz first saw it, she thought it was just a new skin tag forming. Then it swelled up to about the size of an M&M (the plain kind). Liz thought this was weird but the next day it was gone and so she didn’t think anything of it until it happened to me again last week. Good thing she took me in! Mast cell tumors sometimes change in size a lot.

They can look different to mine too, and unfortunately are common in frenchies, other bulldogs, pugs, boxers and some other breeds (and even cats!), and allergies may play a role as well. The main thing is that if you get any bumps, go to the vet and get them checked out as soon as you can! You never know and Liz definitely never expected this.

Hopefully the surgery will be able to take care of it completely for me. I am also ramping up my healthy diet with more fresh foods, less grains and some supplements. Wish me luck today!

You all remember my cousin Buster don’t you? Here he is chillin on the couch at my auntie’s house:

But I also have a cousin named Edgar.

Edgar is a cat. I like to chase cats! This is hard for me and Edgar, because he does not like to be chased or lunged at and I don’t understand why. It is so much fun!

Just yesterday I was at the park and I chased a kitty right up a tree! It was the fastest I’d moved in a week!

Whenever I get within 3 feet of Edgar he starts to make a funny singing sound. This helps me to locate him more accurately.

But I am never allowed to get as close as I like…

He is a dumb cousin. In fact so is Buster. None of my cousins will play with me!

This morning after my walk Liz said I had to have another bath. So I did and I went from smelling stinky to smelling lovely. Liz had washed my bed at the same time though and it’s cold! So, she said as a special treat I could get in her bed. (Jon doesn’t know about this, by the way!)

Here I am, wondering why I can’t just sleep in peace without Liz taking pictures of me!

Ok, I’m going back to sleep now…
